308 RACING CUP: 2019 SEASON PRESENTATION
Registered as FIA International championship since 2018, for his 3rd year of existence, the 308 Racing Cup claims his European position & PEUGEOT Sport reinforce his promotion formula. A new calendar, plenty of prizes on offer, a very attractive end of season prize and a reworked classification system for amateur drivers... Here is all you need to know about the new 308 Racing Cup season.


THE 2019 SEASON IN BRIEF
 
  • 1ST OVERALL: A brand new Peugeot 308 TCR & Peugeot Sport official driver status.
  • 6 races on European race tracks, 4 in France and 2 abroad (Germany and Belgium).
  • A revisited classification: PRO / AM (new) / Junior.
  • €159,000 are given away at races.
  • 1ST AM will win one race in the 2020 TCR Europe championship.
  • 1ST Junior will win a Peugeot Sport test in the 308 TCR.
  • The PEUGEOT 308 Racing Cup : top quality, well-known for being fun to drive, established reliability.

A UNIQUE FORMULA PROMOTION
 
308 Racing Cup is a championship that is aimed firmly at bringing people towards various international touring car series. Now in its 3rd consecutive year, the 308 Racing Cup is even more closely linked with some of the most high-profile touring car championships in the world, such as TCR Europe or WTCR. The next 308 Racing Cup champion will follow Teddy Clairetthe reigning 2018 308 Racing Cup champion, who has just won a brand new 308 TCR and official PEUGEOT Sport driver status.
 
2019 CALENDAR
 
The 308 Racing Cup claims is European status with a 6 events calendar: 4 in France on SRO events (Nogaro, Lédenon, Magny-Cours, Paul Ricard) and 2 abroad with the TCR Europe serie, in Belgium (Spa-Francorpchamps) and in Germany (Hockenheim).
 
20 - 22 April - Nogaro (France) - French GT championship
24 - 26 May - Hockenheim (Germany) - TCR Europe NEW
08 - 09 June - Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) - TCR Europe
05 - 07 July - Lédenon (France) - French GT championship NEW
13 -15 September - Magny-Cours (France) - French GT championship
11 - 13 October - Paul Ricard (France) - French GT championship
 
THE FORMAT
 
  • Friday: 2 free practice sessions (2 x30 min)
  • Saturday: 1 25-min qualifying session + 1 30-min race
  • Sunday: 1 25-min qualifying session + 1 30-min race
 
3 CATEGORIES
 
  • PRO : Drivers with palmares who exceed minimum 26 age limit during the year
  • AM: Drivers without palmares who exceed minimum 26 age limit during the year
  • JUNIOR : Drivers up to the maximum of 25 age limit
 
PRIZES & DOTATIONS
 
  • Nearly €300,000 of prizes in total, of which €159,000 are given away at races
  • 1ST OVERALL : a brand new Peugeot 308 TCR and Peugeot Sport official driver status
  • 1ST AM: one race in the 2020 TCR Europe championship.
  • 1ST Junior: one Peugeot Sport test in the 308 TCR.
 
ENTRIES
 
Registered as FIA International serie, the 308 Racing Cup is open to international licences.
 
  • ENTRY FEE PER RACE MEETING: €1500 (excluding tax) includes:
‘Association Sportive Automobile’ entries at every race
Private testing on Fridays
3 VIP lunches on Sundays
Official overalls and clothing supplied (distributed at the opening race meeting)
Peugeot Sport services
Entries close 5 days before each race meeting
