308 RACING CUP ROUND #2 | GP DE PAU
A month after the competition’s opening contest at Nogaro, the 2017 PEUGEOT 308 RACING CUP returns to southwest France as part of the programme of this weekend’s Grand Prix de Pau, in the country’s Bearn region. The celebrated street circuit includes such highlights as Parc Beaumont and Virage de la Gare and attracts a crowd of some 30,000 spectators every year. After his double-whammy performance at Nogaro in April, Julien BRICHÉ will be the man they will all want to beat in the chase for the title in Peugeot Sport’s latest one-make series.

  • A racing version of the PEUGEOT 308 GTi by PEUGEOT SPORT, the 308 RACING CUP faces its maiden street race this weekend in the city of Pau!
  • A grid of 17 drivers will join battle in in Pau, with a tremendous scrap in store as the field sets out to thwart Julien BRICHÉ, winner of both races at the opening meeting at Nogaro.
  • At the end of the year, the winner of the 2017 PEUGEOT 308 Racing Cup will walk away with a new PEUGEOT 308 Racing Cup equipped with a 2018-spec Performance Kit, along with a factory drive with PEUGEOT SPORT in 2018.

QUOTE, UNQUOTE…
Laurent Guyot (Customer Competition Department Manager, PEUGEOT SPORT)
“The reliability and speed of the PEUGEOT 308 Racing Cup at Nogaro showed that it is a well-sorted car with a fine future ahead of it. It didn’t take long for the drivers to find their marks and enjoy themselves, while posting some quick lap times out of the box in our new single-make racing series. The atmosphere will be different in the streets of Pau, and probably even more exciting. We are aware of the Grand Prix de Pau’s pedigree and we are proud that the 308 Racing Cup is part of the programme. Whoever wins there will enjoy a taste of extra glory.”
